About OpenCLIP
OpenCLIP is an open-source implementation of OpenAI's CLIP (Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training) model maintained by the ML Foundations research group, enabling training and fine-tuning of vision-language models on custom datasets. It computes joint embeddings of images and text to power zero-shot image classification, cross-modal retrieval, and conditioning for generative models — and is the backbone used in Stable Diffusion v2. Multiple pretrained checkpoints trained on LAION-400M, LAION-2B, and DataComp-1B datasets are publicly available on Hugging Face.
